I have a 2002 Dodge Diesel Pickup.
This is the best diesel truck I’ve ever owned. Before this truck I had only owned older Ford diesel pickups. Getting into a truck that didn’t require glow plugs was a very welcome relief. The performance was much better than anything I had ever had in the past. The only complaint I have is the fuel economy. Even when my truck was completely stock I barely got 15MPG on the freeway with 3:73 gears. I quickly started modifying it, which improved the fuel economy a little bit, but even still I’ve only been able to get 16MPG as my best.
Besides the poor fuel economy, my Dodge Cummins races well, pulls well, hauls well. I even enjoy the rugged comfort that was offered in that year.
I have a 2001 Cummins 2500 Ram. My second diesel truck after owning a 2005 6.0 Powerstroke.
The power and torque of this truck is second to none! I love the way this truck runs and performs, NV5600 6speed and 4.10 gears make this thing a tow monster. With the mods I have I can get 17 mpg. Best diesel I have ever had or used before.
